Today was a day of remembrance for all those who lost their lives when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked by jets hijacked by terrorists. Due to the heroics of a group of people on flight 93, a third jet crashed in a field in Pennsylvania, thwarting a scenario that may have caused further panic had they been able to crash into the White House (probably their next destination). These horrific events played out in my head as I watched the news reports on different channels all day. What struck me was the way President Bush spent time with many of the victims' families--longer than expected. I must say it was really nice to see. It was the least presidential thing he'll ever have to do as President, but will probably go down in history as George W. Bush being at his best. My prayers go out to the families and friends directly affected by the attacks and all who witnessed the attacks first hand (and at home or work). May God Bless Us All.
