PEOPLE BEWARE !Greens glum on World Environment Day
I'm posting this article because I believe most people are uninformed about environmental crises (either because they don't want to believe what the "World Conservation Union" - and the like - says about the subject, or they mistakenly think that the extinction of species, global warming, etc., won't affect their lives).
Just read this portion from article:
In its latest update on species numbers, the IUCN said the world was faced with a "major extinction crisis", mainly due to the disappearance of endangered species' habitat.
One mammal species in four and every reptile and amphibian species in three are threatened with being wiped out. In all, 5 500 animal species and 34 000 species of flora are considered at risk.
The article points out many more things that people should not only be aware of, but should find ways to get involved and do something to raise awareness. Upsetting the Earth's balance will have dire consequences impossible to recover from.
